Are tarot readings accurate? Can I trust them?

Tarot is less about predicting the future and more about reflecting the present. Its 78 cards map to different facets of the human experience, helping you organize your thoughts and spot blind spots around a question. Prism blends the traditional Rider-Waite system with a modern psychological lens — a powerful tool for self-reflection, though never a substitute for professional advice on major decisions.

How are the 78 tarot cards organized?

A tarot deck has 78 cards: 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana. The Major Arcana represent life’s big themes and the soul’s journey (The Fool, The Magician, The Lovers, Wheel of Fortune, The Tower, The Star, The World). The Minor Arcana are divided into four suits — Wands (action), Cups (emotion), Swords (thought) and Pentacles (material life) — with 14 cards each.

Which spreads does Prism support?

Three classic spreads: (1) Single Card — a quick answer to a focused question; (2) Three-Card Timeline — past / present / future; (3) Celtic Cross — a 10-card deep dive covering your situation, challenge, hidden influences, recent past, near future, self-image, environment, hopes, fears and likely outcome.

Is the tarot reading free?

Yes. Choose a spread and the system shuffles and draws for you, then the AI interprets each card — including reversals — and the overall message of the spread, free of charge.

What does a reversed tarot card mean?

Cards can appear upright or reversed. Upright represents the card’s energy expressed naturally; reversed suggests that energy is blocked, internalized or excessive. The same card can mean very different things depending on its position and your question — that nuance is the art of tarot.

What kinds of questions should I ask the tarot?

Tarot works best with open, reflective questions such as "How should I approach my relationship with X?", "Is my current career path right for me?" or "What should I pay attention to over the next three months?". Avoid yes/no questions like "Does he love me?" — they rarely yield meaningful insight.
