Terms of Service

Welcome to Prism ("the platform", "we", "us" or "our"), operated at www.1581.net. Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the platform. By accessing or using the platform you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please stop using the platform immediately.

1. The Service

  1. The platform provides AI-powered divination and self-discovery readings, including but not limited to tarot readings, horoscopes, BaZi (a Chinese birth chart system — like astrology, but based on 3,000 years of Chinese calendrics), I Ching (Book of Changes) readings, dream interpretation and name analysis (collectively, "the Service").
  2. The Service is provided for entertainment, self-reflection and cultural learning purposes only and does not constitute professional medical, legal, financial or any other professional advice. You should not rely on any reading as the sole basis for major life decisions.
  3. AI-generated readings are based on traditional divination theory and algorithmic models; they may be inaccurate or incomplete. Please treat all results rationally.
  4. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service as our business evolves, with advance notice via platform announcements or other appropriate means.

2. Your Account

  1. Some features require an account. You must provide accurate, complete registration information and keep it up to date.
  2. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. Losses caused by your failure to do so are borne by you.
  3. Notify us immediately if you discover unauthorized use of your account or any security breach.
  4. Your account is for your personal use only and may not be transferred, lent, rented or otherwise made available to others.

3. Acceptable Use

  1. You must comply with the laws and regulations of your jurisdiction when using the Service.
  2. You must not use the platform to:
    • Post or spread unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory or harassing content;
    • Induce others into illegal gambling or other unlawful activities;
    • Attempt unauthorized access to our systems, servers or networks;
    • Scrape or bulk-access our data using automated tools (crawlers, bots, etc.);
    • Interfere with the normal operation of the platform or other users' experience;
    • Impersonate platform staff or other users for fraudulent purposes.
  3. If you violate these rules, we may suspend or terminate your access and reserve the right to pursue legal remedies.

4. Intellectual Property

  1. All platform content — including text, images, graphics, interface design, code, algorithms, trademarks and logos — is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.
  2. You may not copy, modify, translate, publish, distribute, display or create derivative works from platform content without our written permission.
  3. Readings generated for you are for your personal reference only and may not be used commercially or redistributed at scale.

5. Paid Services & Refunds

  1. Some features require payment. The content, price and payment method of paid services are clearly displayed on the service pages; the amount shown at checkout is final.
  2. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. After cancellation, your membership benefits remain active until the end of the current billing period.
  3. Refund eligibility, how to request a refund and processing timelines are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
  4. We may adjust the content and pricing of paid services, with at least 7 days' notice via platform announcements. Purchases already made are not affected by price changes.

6. Disclaimers

  1. Reading disclaimer: all readings are generated by AI algorithms for entertainment and cultural learning purposes. We make no guarantee as to their accuracy, completeness or fitness for any purpose, and they should not be used as a basis for medical, legal, financial or other professional decisions.
  2. Availability: we do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or always available. We are not liable for interruptions caused by maintenance, upgrades, network failures or third-party outages. Planned maintenance will be announced at least 24 hours in advance.
  3. Third-party links: the platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content, privacy policies or practices; you visit them at your own risk.
  4. We are not liable for service interruptions or data loss caused by force majeure events (including natural disasters, government actions, cyber attacks or telecom failures), though we will do our best to minimize the impact on you.

7. Limitation of Liability

  1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the platform, its operators and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages (including lost profits, business interruption or data loss) arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
  2. If our ordinary negligence causes you direct financial loss, our total liability is capped at the total service fees you actually paid in the preceding 12 months.
  3. These limitations do not apply to losses caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence, or to any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
  4. Both parties should first attempt to resolve compensation matters through good-faith negotiation.

8. Minors

  1. The Service is intended for adults aged 18 or over. If you are under 18, please use the platform under the guidance of a parent or guardian.
  2. Parents and guardians should supervise minors' use of the platform. If you discover that a minor has provided us with personal information without consent, please contact us promptly.

9. Changes to These Terms

  1. We may revise these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
  2. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the platform.
  3. For material changes, we will provide advance notice via platform announcements or in-app notifications.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the platform operator is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections you enjoy under the laws of your place of residence.
  2. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms should first be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
  3. If negotiation fails, either party may bring proceedings before a court of competent jurisdiction.

11. Miscellaneous

  1. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the platform regarding the Service, superseding all prior oral or written agreements.
  2. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force, and the invalid provision will be replaced with a valid one that most closely reflects its original intent.
  3. Our failure or delay in exercising any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
